SOLVAY ADVANCED POLYMERS produces high-performance polymers for the most demanding requirements. Prominent features are their resistance to very high temperatures and chemicals as well as their extraordinary mechanical strength. The materials are adjusted to the individual requirements of the customers by the addition of compounds.
The selection of high-performance plastics includes amorphous, semi-crystalline and ultra high-performance plastics. Amorphous polymers include Udel® (polysulfone), Veradel® (polyethersulfone), Radel R® (polyphenylsulfone) and Mindel® (polysulfone blends). The semi-crystalline polymers include Amodel® (polyphthalamide), Ixef® (polyarylamide), Primef® (polyphenylene sulfide) and Xydar® (liquid crystal polymers), whereas the ultra high-performance plastics include Torlon® (polyamide-imide) and Kadel® (aromatic polyketones).
